In this Guide we will walk you through steps on how to send in-app notifications that include CTA.

Accessing the In-App Guidance Tab

Navigate to the Event Dashboard

  • On the left sidebar of your application, click on Event Dashboard to ensure you're in the correct section.

Expand the Content Menu

  • Locate the Content section in the sidebar.

  • Click the + icon or arrow next to "Content" to expand the menu.

Open In-App Guidance

  • Explore from the expanded "Content" menu to access the In-App Guidance tab.

  • You will be in App Guidance, where you can click to expand and start configuring your In-app call-to-action notification.

Configuring new In-App guidance

Navigate to the "In-App Guidance" Section

  • On the left-hand menu, go to the Content section.

  • Click on In-App Guidance to open the actions panel.

Click on "+ New Action"

  • In the top-right corner of the screen, click the "+ New Action" button to start creating a new action.

Create Custom Action

Configure Mobile Actions

  • When (Mandatory):

    • Choose when the action will be triggered. For example, select "Show Now" for immediate display.

When choosing the " Show Later" option a new tab will be displayed where the exact time and date need to be specified.

  • Action Type (Mandatory):

    • Choose the type of action, such as "Link" for directing users to a URL.

Set Action Details

  • Title (Mandatory):

    • Enter a clear and concise title for the action. This will be visible to users.

  • Body (Mandatory):

    • Add descriptive text to explain the purpose of the action.

  • Button URL (Mandatory):

    • Provide the URL for the action if it involves external navigation (e.g., a webpage or document link).

Preview the Action

  • A live preview of the action will appear on the right-hand side.

  • Review how the action will look on a mobile interface to ensure it aligns with your expectations.

Save and Create

  • Click Create in the top-right corner to finalize the action.

  • If you’re not ready to activate it, use the Cancel button to discard changes.

Tips for Configuring Actions

  • Be Clear: Ensure titles and descriptions are easy to understand for users.

  • Test URLs: Double-check that the Button URL leads to the correct destination.

  • Optimize Timing: Choose "When" settings that align with the user journey to maximize engagement.
