Create a New Event in Your Workspace

This guide walks you through each process step, from setting up basic details to help you confidently launch your event.

Creating a new event in your Blink workspace is the first step toward managing a smooth and successful experience.

Access Your Workspace

  • Navigate to your workspace dashboard as shown in the screenshot above. From here, you can create new events or manage existing ones.

Initiate Event Creation

  • To create a new event, click the “Create New Event” button in your selected workspace.

Fill in Basic Event Information

  1. After clicking “Create New Event,” you will be redirected to the New Event From Scratch screen, where you'll need to enter key information for your event, such as:

    • Thumbnail: Upload a thumbnail image for your event by clicking on the image upload area. You can drag and drop the image file or click Upload to select it from your device. (Optional)

    • Event Name: Provide a unique name for your event. (Required)

    • Event Type: Select the event type from the dropdown menu. (Required)

    • Event Website: If you have a dedicated website for the event, you can enter its URL here. (Optional)

    • Event Slug: This will form the URL for your event's web page. Make sure it’s unique to avoid conflicts. (Required)

    • Workspace: Select the workspace where the event will reside from the dropdown menu. (Required)

Editing Date and Time in Your Event

Editing the date and time for an event is a crucial step when managing your workspace in the Blink event management platform. Here's a step-by-step guide to assist you in making those adjustments and ensuring your event is set up accurately.

Access the Event

Navigate to your workspace where the event you want to edit is located. Once there, select the event you wish to modify. You will be directed to the event editing page that contains all the key details of the event.

Locate the Date and Time Fields

In the Time and Date section of the event editing page, you will see fields for both the Start Date, End Date, Start Time, and End Time.

Open the Calendar to Select a New Date

To edit the Start or End Date, click on the calendar icon next to the date field. This will open a dropdown calendar (as shown in Screenshot 1). This calendar allows you to navigate and select the desired date for your event easily.

Adjusting Time

Below the date fields, you will find the Start Time and End Time fields. To modify these, click on the clock icon next to the time fields, and a time selector will appear. Choose the appropriate start and end times for your event.

Confirm the Changes

Once you've updated the date and time, make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button to apply the changes. Your event's timing will now reflect the updated information.

Choosing the Flight and Accommodation Options

In the Time and Date section, there is a dropdown menu under Flight Option where you can choose the type of booking management for your event. This dropdown offers the following options:

  • Off: No flight booking will be managed through the event.

  • Event-Defined Booking: The event will define how flight bookings are managed.

  • Attendee-Driven Booking: Attendees will manage their own flight bookings.

  • Admin-Managed Booking: The event admin will manage flight bookings for attendees.

Save the Event

  1. Once all the fields are completed, click the “Create” button to finalize the creation of your event. You will now see the event added to your workspace dashboard, where you can further manage and edit it.

By following these steps, you can create a new event in your workspace and start organizing your event efficiently.

Error

If you get an error while trying to submit your event review, ensure all the required filled are correctly filled and try to resubmit again by clicking "Create" bottom
