Add a New Journey

Efficient journey management ensures smooth operations.

This guide covers setting up a new journey, highlighting key features and tips to simplify logistics, transportation, or event planning.

Accessing the Journey Tab

  • From the left sidebar, locate the "Transportation" section. Then expand it by clicking on it or the arrow next to it.

  • Locate the Journeys section in the expanded menu.

  • You will be redirected to the Journeys tab, where you can start configuring your new Journeys.

Create a Journey

Important Notes:

Before you start creating the journey, you need to ensure that:

  • A vehicle is created and configured for this Event.

  • A driver is added to this event.

  • Name (Mandatory): Enter the name of the journey in the "Name Field."

  • Date (Mandatory): Enter the name of the journey in the "Name" field. This is a mandatory field (*).

  • Vehicle (Mandatory): Select a vehicle from the dropdown menu. If no vehicles are listed, ensure that vehicles have been added to the system beforehand. This is also a mandatory field (*).

  • Driver (Mandatory): After selecting a vehicle, the driver selection option will be activated. Click "Select a vehicle to add a driver…" to choose an appropriate driver associated with the selected vehicle.

Save the Journey

  • Once all mandatory fields (Name, Date, Vehicle, Driver) are filled out, click the "Create" button in the top-right corner to save the journey.

Adding a New Ride:

  1. Navigate to the "New Ride" Form:

    • Access the "Journeys" section from the sidebar and click + Add Ride to open the form.

  1. Enter Ride Details:

    • Name: Provide a unique name for the ride (required).

    • Pickup Time: Set the time for the ride to start (required).

    • Dropoff Time: Specify the time for the ride to end (required).

  2. Configure Stops:

    • Pickup:

      • Type: Choose the type of pickup location (e.g., event, venue, or custom address).

      • Address: Input or select the pickup location.

    • Dropoff:

      • Type: Choose the type of drop-off location.

      • Address: Input or select the drop-off location.

  3. Assign Passengers:

    • Use the Passengers section to assign passengers to the ride.

    • Toggle the option to show passengers in the attendee app if applicable.

  4. Additional Notes:

    • Use the Note section to add any extra information or instructions related to the ride.

    • Any Additional Notes will be viewable to the driver through the Driver App.

  5. Save the Ride:

    • Click Create in the top-right corner to save the new ride.

    • Use Cancel if you wish to discard the configuration.

This ensures a seamless setup of new rides within your transportation module.
