Admission Settings Guide

The Admission Settings tab allows organizers to control which features are available in the Admission Portal. From this page, you can enable or disable attendee lookup and verification tools such as manual search, QR code scanning, access checking, and facial recognition.

Accessing Admission Settings

To open the Admission Settings page:

  1. Go to the Management Dashboard.

  2. From the left-side menu, open Event Config.

  3. Select Admission Settings.

The page displays the available Admission Portal Features and lets you manage them with toggle controls.

Admission Portal Features

The Admission Portal Features section includes tools for searching for attendees, retrieving attendee details, and verifying access.

1. Manual Search

Manual Search allows users to find attendees by entering their details.

Use this option when staff need to find attendee records without scanning a QR code or using another automated method.

Manual Search allows admins to search for attendees by manually entering their details in the Admission Portal.

When Manual Search is enabled, additional configuration options appear:

Print

Enable Print to allow admins to confirm attendee details on the Admission Portal and print passes. Use this option when staff need to review attendee information before issuing or printing admission passes.

SMS & Email Verification

Enable SMS & Email Verification to require attendees to verify their identity via an OTP before their passes are printed. Use this option when an additional identity verification step is required before printing passes.

2. QR Code

QR Code allows users to scan an attendee’s QR code to quickly find their information.

This option is useful for fast attendee lookup during check-in or admission operations.

When QR Code is enabled, additional configuration options appear:

Print

Enable Print to allow admins to confirm attendee details on the Admission Portal and print passes.

Use this option when attendees will be admitted or issued passes after their QR code is scanned.

SMS & Email Verification

Enable SMS & Email Verification to require attendees to verify their identity using an OTP before their passes can be printed.

Use this option when an extra verification step is required after scanning the attendee’s QR code.

Notes

If Manual Search/QR is disabled, the related options, such as Print and SMS & Email Verification, will not be available.
Enable only the options that match your event’s admission and verification process.

3. Access Checker

Access Checker allows users to verify attendee access and check them into sessions and venues.

Use this feature when attendees need to be validated before entering a specific session, area, or venue.

How Access Checker Works

When enabled, admins can use the Admission Portal to confirm whether an attendee has permission to access a selected session or venue.

This helps the admission team:

  • Validate attendee access permissions.

  • Prevent unauthorized entry.

  • Check attendees into the correct sessions or venues.

  • Support smoother on-site access control.

4. Facial Recognition

Facial Recognition allows users to identify attendees and retrieve their details.

This feature can support faster identification when enabled for the admission process.

Enabling or Disabling a Feature

Each feature has a toggle switch on the right side of its row.

To enable or disable a feature:

  1. Locate the feature you want to manage.

  2. Use the toggle switch beside the feature.

  3. When enabled, the feature becomes available in the Admission Portal.

  4. When disabled, the feature is not available in the Admission Portal.

Opening the Admission Portal

The Go to Admission Portal button opens the Admission Portal, where the enabled admission tools are available to the relevant team.

Use this button after configuring the required features to access the portal directly.

Recommended Use

Enable only the features needed for your event’s admission flow. For example:

  • Enable Manual Search when staff need to search attendee records directly.

  • Enable QR Code for fast scanning-based lookup.

  • Enable Access Checker when session or venue access needs to be verified.

  • Enable Facial Recognition only if facial recognition is part of the event’s admission process.
